How do I grade a free response?

Step 1: In the Assessments tab, click on the results for the assessment that contains the free response to be scored.
Step 2: Click on the "Grade Now" link to view the free responses that need to be graded.
Step 3: Click the "Grade" button to view and score individual student responses. The Suggested Answer Key and Keywords offer ideas to look for in the students' responses.
Step 4: View the student's answer. Click on the plus sign to expand the Suggested Answer Key. Any keywords used in the responses will be denoted in red.
Step 5: Select the grade from the dropdown. Type in feedback for the student. Feedback is optional. Click "Submit Grade."
To edit a free-response result:
Step 1: From your "Assessments" tab, click on the results for the free response you need to edit.
Step 2: In your Assessment Results, click the "Grade Now" link.
Step 3: Click the "Edit Grade" button next to the student's name.
Step 4: From the dropdown, edit the score. Click "Submit."
