How do I duplicate an assessment?

Updated 2 years ago by Amy Brown

Step 1: From the Assessments tab, choose the - Options - dropdown for the assessment you'd like to duplicate. Duplicating is a quick way to create a post-test or assessment to measure growth.

Step 2: Select the "Duplicate" option.

Step 3: Click the "Duplicate" button.

Step 4: The assessment has been copied, and the duplicate is available at the top of your assessment list. Click the "OK" button.

Step 5: The duplicate assessment will have "- duplicate" added to the name, along with a unique assessment code.

Step 6: If you want to keep all of the same questions, then there's no need to edit the assessment. Click the gear Settings icon to update the name of the assessment (or at least remove "- duplicate") and also adjust any settings. Click the "Save Assessment" button when finished.

Step 7: If you would like to swap out questions on the duplicate assessment, click the yellow pencil Edit icon.

Step 8: In the Preview step, click the "Replace with Similar Question" link to select a different question still aligned to the same standard (displayed in the bottom right corner). This allows you to have the same structure/ content without the exact same set of questions.

Step 9: Choose the question you would like as a replacement. You can hover over the Stats icon to view the DOK level and % correct (difficulty level) for each option. Once you've replaced some or all of the questions, save your assessment.

Step 10: If you need to make additional changes to your assessment, return to steps 1-6. Once you are finished making changes, click the "Save Assessment" button in step 7.
